REDRUTH centre Sam James believes his side have shown they are more than capable of putting last season’s disappointment behind them after opening their National Two West campaign in emphatic fashion.
The Cornish outfit endured a frustrating campaign on their way to a 10th-place finish last term, but started the new season with an impressive 61-10 win over newly-promoted Bournville.
James, 21, marked his own return to competitive action with two tries and believes the result demonstrated the benefits of a productive pre-season.
