Adams hopes to lighten the load after a ‘dark’ period

CAMBRIDGE captain Ben Adams wants his side to rediscover the enjoyment of rugby as they begin life back in National One after three gruelling seasons in the Championship.
The experienced back row, who passed 150 appearances for the club last season, admits Cambridge’s time in the second tier became “pretty dark” as they regularly found themselves battling against significantly better-resourced opposition.
