Knowles puts his money into Pirates

TELEVISION presenter Nick Knowles has become a shareholder at Cornish Pirates.The DIY SOS and National Lottery: Who Dares Wins host has been an ambassador for the club for over a season. By acquiring a stake, Knowles joins an evolving international ownership group seeking to revitalise the Penzance-based club.
Cornish Pirates made history in May when Pittsburgh-based private equity firm Stonewood Capital Management took a minority stake. This made them the first English professional rugby union side to secure American ownership.
