New Zealand survived a bruising battle with Stormers to begin their South Africa tour with victory, despite three yellow cards and a difficult night at the set-piece.

New Zealand began their first full-scale tour of South Africa for 30 years with an unconvincing victory in Cape Town over Stormers.
Dave Rennie’s side eventually ran in six tries but the final margin disguised a difficult evening in which the tourists struggled at the set-piece, collected three yellow cards and were level at 14-14 with just 13 minutes remaining.
