SHAUN Edwards’ departure from France is still being negotiated and he could be barred from coaching a rival to Les Bleus at next year’s World Cup.
France are worried the information he has gathered on their players and tactics over the last six years could hinder their World Cup chanc-es if he were to join another country ahead of the tournament. Leaks reported in L’Equipe claim

Edwards, left, has been lacking “focus, concentration and commitment” with sources alleging he had lost both his influence and authority behind the scenes.
Edwards, 59, is determined to get a fair exit package after being let go 18 months from the end of his contract, without a non-compete clause which could stop him taking a senior role with a top international rival until after the World Cup.
