Kevin Sinfield has credited Marcus Smith for taking the yo-yo nature of his current England status on the chin and knuckling down to business.

Smith is in a three-way battle for England’s fly-half berth with George Ford, below top, and Fin Smith, below bottom, and has been deployed off the bench, as full-back cover, or not at all in recent Tests.
