Loughborough University loosehead Oran Murphy has been spearheading the African Violet charge to yet another title attack in a formidable pack, in a league where most people say backs win matches.
Murphy’s journey from being an academy intake in 2022 at London Irish to an experienced front rower at one of the leading BUCS Super Rugby sides is a case study on the state of English rugby.
Murphy, 22, reflected on his privileged position while those less fortunate suffered because of his former side’s liquidation in 2023.
