Caldy’s rise a fairytale -Rushton

CALDY prop Nathan Rushton has lived every step of their fairytale climb to the Champ, and having gone into this weekend joint top after four rounds, stresses they are now targeting a play-off push.
Rushton, 32, and his Wirral team-mates were playing in National Two North in 2019/20 but a dramatic rise up the pyramid, overseen by director of rugby Gareth Davies, has resulted in the club holding their own in the second tier since winning promotion in 2023.
