Wellington make it a double celebration

WELLINGTON College won their second St Joseph’s College Festival cup after defeating Mill-field 10-7 in the final.
A 40-metre penalty from Sam Watson-Knee secured the title in the final throws, clawing a win from 7-0 down with two minutes left, sparked by Pippo Hurrell’s try. Silver medallists Millfield dug deep over the festival, showing mettle besting Whitchurch 6-3 in the quarter-finals and surviving a penalty shootout with Kirkham Grammar after a 12-12 deadlock in the semi-finals.
