I’m enjoying just about everything to do with the Women’s World Cup thus far from the big enthusiastic crowds, the excellent BBC coverage and some spectacular attacking action.
Even some of the indecently big wins – or huge defeats if you are on the receiving end – have not grated too much mainly because at this stage of the tournament’s evolution there is still a smiling sense of adventure and joy in many of those inexperienced amateurs like Samoa who are competing against huge odds.
