Immediately after the Western Force game, when Joe McCarthy was brilliant all night and Ollie Chessum excellent off the bench, I detected a little wild talk suggesting that Maro Itoje might be pushed to make the Lions starting XV.
Bear in mind also that the Lions can call on Tadhg Beirne and James Ryan in the boiler house.
