Culley concerned for game’s future

WITH the RFU County Championships kicking-off this weekend, a former head of Northumberland and Dorset & Wiltshire men’s teams is calling for it to be re-invigorated by being at the heart of wider reforms to the sport.
Simon Culley, head of rugby at Durham University, feels the annual competition needs to “stop being an afterthought” for officials at Twickenham when it’s “the answer they’re looking for”.
