THE Gill Burns County Championship got underway with three matches across its three divisions, with ties taking places in the deepest south, to the most far-flung of northern locations.
In Division Two, Pool Two, Devon were convincing winners against Gloucestershire, thumping their visitors 50-12.
Devon were always in control of the tie in Brixham, the win putting them equally in the ascendency in a pool also containing Cornwall and Hampshire.
