ITALY continue to improve year on year in the Six Nations, and their second half display in the opening round against England deserved plaudits.
The Le Azzurre defence frustrated the Red Roses in York before tiring in the second half to go down 38-5, but they failed to kick on from that and conceded 54 points at home to Ireland a week later.
An impressive 25-17 victory away to Scotland sealed their first win, and they will take a lot of pride in getting within 13 points of France – a match which they had led by nine points at half-time before falling 34-21.
