Easter urges RFU not to divide National One

Nick Easter fears that RFU plans to split National One in two, with a north and south divide, will see it lose its allure.
Chinnor director of rugby Easter is calling for the plans to be dropped, as is Rams’ director of rugby Seb Reynolds, with worries around a new schism being created in the sport.
A main reason behind the RFU’s proposals is due to some clubs complaining about travel costs, while it’s thought competing against more local rival teams could attract better crowd numbers.
