Humphreys backing Plumtree to play major role for Wales

Wales forwards coach John Humphreys says that new signing Taine Plumtree from New Zealand could play a big part in their World Cup campaign.
The selection of 23-year-old Plumtree into the wider summer squad caused controversy after the former New Zealand U20s international was chosen over the likes of Thomas Young and Morgan Morris before he had played a game of rugby in Wales.
Swansea-born Plum tree – the son of former Swansea coach John – has signed for the Scarlets after earning plaudits during his time in Super Rugby playing for the Blues.
