NICKY Smith has signed a contract extension with Ospreys. The 29-year-old Wales loosehead had been touted as a possible recruit for Exeter, who have signed Ospreys centre Joe Hawkins. The duration of his deal has not been revealed, but Smith wants “to play a significant role” with the region.
