Stadium deal nears for Sharks

Salford City Council is understood to be close to completing a deal to buy the AJ Bell stadium in a significant development for the future of Premiership high flyers Sale Sharks.
It was announced last year that Salford City Council was in talks for the ground. Blindside understands that the Sharks will be handed control of the ground on a five-year lease which will enhance their ability to increase venue streams, while they will have a three-year option to buy the ground.
