‘We want the crowd behind us’

Sam Simmonds has vowed to put the smiles back on the faces of the Twickenham faithful after England’s dismal autumn saw them booed off the pitch in November.
The side were the target of catcalls following their 27-13 collapse to South Africa in the autumn which signalled the end of the Eddie Jones era.
Exeter No.8 Simmonds had his first taste of Steve Borthwick’s New England this week in camp in Bagshot as they prepared for Saturday’s Six Nations opener against Scotland.
