Beattie’s Hampton delighted to set the pace

HAMPTON School have been one of the early pacesetters in English schools rugby, kicking off their season with back-to-back Friday night wins. A 24-6 win over Seaford College was followed by a 10-0 away victory against Brighton College to give Hampton a dream start. The latter was a memorial match for Brighton, held to commemorate their member of staff Peter Bellinger who had died with MND over the summer, with Harlequins’ Marcus Smith and James Chisholm in attendance to present a special Brighton shirt to Bellinger’s father.
