Australia crush Red Roses in World Cup 7s

ENGLAND women crashed out of the World Cup 7s Cup quarter-finals last night in a crushing 35-5 defeat to Australia. Tries by Charlotte Caslick, Teagan Levi and Faith Nathan’s hat-trick ended England’s chances of reaching the last four. The Red Roses kicked off their weekend on Friday with a 29-5 victory over Spain in the last 16 through tries by Celia Quansah, Emma Uren, Ellie Boatman, Grace Compton and Amy Wilson Hardy but they came unstuck against an impressive Australian outfit.
