RESEARCHERS at the University of Essex have launched an investigation into the effects of concussion in grassroots rugby with Colchester Rugby Club, who play in Regional 1 South East. Dr Ben Jones, a former scrum-half with Northampton, Worcester and England 7s is leading the study, exploring the impact of collisions, head injuries and recovery time across the season.
