ENGLAND Women went unbeaten last weekend throughout the Zagreb Sevens, not conceding a point all weekend.
The tournament in Croatia was part of the Rugby Europe Sevens Trophy Series, the next leg of which is being played in Budapest this weekend, and provided England with some preparation ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in late July. England beat Italy 56-0 in the final having been in dominant form against Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Georgia and Moldova.
England Men, led by captain Ed Coulson who was returning from injury, fin- ished runners-up in Zagreb, with a 27-0 defeat to Ireland in the final their only loss from the weekend.
Coulson's side had beaten Wales 28-12 in the semi-finals having overcome Romania, Sweden, Luxembourg and Bulgaria earlier in the weekend.
