Zach Mercer has pledged to see out the final year of his contract with Montpellier, firmly closing the door on a return to the Premiership and Eddie Jones’ England squad.
Mercer, above, revealed Jones enquired about his availability for the summer tour to Australia, but to be selected he would have had to return to the Premiership.
The No.8 also revealed that he could still feature at the World Cup as long as he commits to playing in England’s top flight for the 2023-24 campaign.
