EXETER Chiefs have emerged as surprise contenders in the race to land former Wasps and England winger Christian Wade who is eyeing up a return to the Premiership this summer.
Wade, who was 31 earlier this month, won his only England cap in 2013 and spent seven years at Wasps before switching to American football to try and win an NFL contract.
