SO Spain have been kicked out of the World Cup for a second time in succession and I suspect they won’t bounce back from this hammer blow in our lifetimes.
A World Rugby tribunal has ruled that Gavin van den Berg, a journeyman South African prop, forged his passport to provide evidence of three years residency in Spain, a period reportedly interrupted by Covid related issues.
Spain have been fined £25,000 and docked 10 points from their qualifying pool and also face the prospect of paying a further £50,000, a suspended fine imposed on them when two of their players were deeme...
