WORCESTER Warriors Women fought off a second half fightback to record a 34-27 victory over Loughborough Lightning in the Allianz Cup.
Warriors will now have to wait on the result of the postponed Exeter Chiefs versus Saracens fixture to see if they have reached the semi-finals.
Akina Gondwe put Warriors ahead midway through the first half with a pick and go, before Bryony Field levelled the scores moments later from a driving maul.
England legend Laura Keates and promising wing Evie England scored a quickfire double to put Warriors in the ascendancy at 17-5. However, Charli Jacoby crossed for Lightning to set up an exciting second period. Amy Pyle was sent off for Lightning after a collision with Jade Shekell.
