I was surprised last week that so many people whom I thought understood more about the structures and order of control within the game pointed the finger of blame at the RFU for the obnoxious decision not to allow Doncaster and Ealing the chance of promotion.Apparently, this was because the RFU has decided that neither team could gain promotion because of ‘their rules’ for Premiership clubs of a ground capacity of no less than 10,001 seats.Now, it may be that my brain is not working as it should but I remember that it was some ...
