WAYNE Pivac was left pondering what might have been after Wales came up short against France but insists his side took a significant step forward.
Wales dominated large periods of a tense encounter but were outdone by a defensive masterclass by the French.
The hosts had one clearcut chance towards the end of the game but Jonathan Davies couldn’t hold on to the ball.
