Academies should start at bottom and work their way up

I’M really surprised that the Premiership are actually calling for the Championship to be expanded to include their Academy sides, simply because their coaches aren’t prepared to experiment with new players.
The idea that there is a bottleneck of talent in the Academies that is stagnating through a lack of games is purely as a result of the Premiership burning its bridges with the rest of the game.
It also shows a complete lack of respect for the rest of the game assuming that its academy players are better than all teams currently playing in the national leagues.
