Sharks …………22
Stormers ……..22
THE Stormers snatched a draw with a last-minute penalty try after full-back Aphelele Fassi was adjudged to have deliberately prevented a try-scoring opportunity.
The visitors received two penalty tries in the game, the first in the 69th minute after the Sharks illegally stopped a driving maul.
The Sharks had looked good to make it two victories in a row after Springbok wing Makazole Mapimpi scored. He also assisted one with a pass to Lukhanyo Am.
The Sharks also pulverised the Stormers in the scrums, flexing their all- Bok front row muscle – Ox Nche, Bongi Mbonambi and Thomas du Toit.
But the Stormers have found a way to get results since the turn of the year and after sucker-punching the Bulls last week they snatched two point here.
Warrick Gelant came on to spark the Stormers fightback, setting up Damian Willemse for their first try.
