Gavin Henson will be sidelined for 6 weeks after suffering a minor fracture to his cheekbone.
The injury happened in last night’s friendly game against the Scarlets in Llanelli.
“It was a late shoulder barge into his face. Gav tried to play on but it was advisable he went for an X-ray,” said London Welsh coach Lyn Jones after the game.
Henson is expected to return to full contact training early October.
