Scrum time shambles

HARLEQUINS-Sale lasted for 97 minutes 32 seconds, including drink breaks. It also included depressing evidence of how long it takes to set a scrum.
The time for the whole tedious business, from the awarding of the scrum to the end of the set-piece, amounted to more than 21 minutes.
Not far short of a quarter of the match.
There were 16 scrums.
Only half were completed, the other half ending in six penalties and two free-kicks but only two resets which makes the overall time all the harder to defend.
