Boks lose two of their finest media stars

SOUTH African rugby is reeling from a double blow with two much loved - and very different - media men passing away within 24 hours of each other earlier this week
Paul Dobson, who died aged 85 from Covid-related complications, was the pre-eminent modernday historian and writer on South African Rugby. It was Dobson, below, who penned the definitive history of the Springboks and a highly acclaimed biography of Dr Danie Craven. He also wrote fine biographies of Boks coach Nick Mallett and referee Andre Watson who took control of two World Cup finals.
