MARLAND Yarde was a 13-year-old schoolboy at Whitgift when Sale last won a trophy, still with dreams of playing for his beloved QPR.
At 16, Yarde made the tough decision to choose rugby over football and during the intervening years he has gone on to be capped 13 times by England as well as play in the Premiership for London Irish, Harlequins and now Sale, the 2006 Premiership champions.
