DAVE Rennie has told European rugby chiefs to cut the length of the season or face player burnout and insists his impending move to Australia won’t affect Glasgow’s fortunes this season.
Due to the World Cup the northern hemisphere season began in August and many players will have to play through to next June. And Rennie, who made his name as a Super Rugby-winning coach with the Chiefs, believes it needs to be remedied.
