Blues to launch third appeal to keep hold of veteran Williams

CARDIFF Blues have been left frustrated as their attempts to tie down No.8 Nick Williams to a new deal have hit an impasse.
Williams’ contract expires at the end of this season, but the Professional Rugby Board (PRB) – which is made up of WRU and regional representatives – believe he doesn’t fit the mould of player the Blues should be looking at.
The Blues have already appealed twice to the PRB over why they think Kiwi Williams should be retained, but their views were rejected both times.
