Noves puts high price on ‘days off’

GUY Noves’ ill-fated stint in charge of France stretched to 21 matches before his employers realised they had made a mistake and sacked him.
The 65-year-old excoach has now taken his case to an industrial tribunal claiming compensation of €2.9m, considerably more than the value of the contract broken by the French Federation.
His legal team say the claim includes days off owed to Noves.
“They take me for an idiot,’’ he was quoted as saying. “I want to shout loud that my sacking has been unjustified. They hurt me badly. They will have to express themselves....
