Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Will Chudley to join Bath next season

By Adam Ellis
have confirmed the signing of Will Chudley from rivals Chiefs.
The scrum-half will swap Sandy Park for the Rec for the 2018-19 season after amassing 115 appearances for the Chiefs in his six years at the reigning champions.
The 29-year-old revealed the skill for persuasion Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder possesses after speaking to the Kiwi about a possible move.
“I'm really looking forward to joining Bath next season,” Chudley said. “It's a new challenge for me and one that I'm really looking forward to.”
“Having spoken to Todd, I know how ambitious the club is, which is one of the main factors behind my decision.
Building plans for a scrum that has Taulupe Faletau at the tail and a choice between and Rhys Priestland as first receiver, Blackadder complimented Chudley's achievements to date as Bath search for some silverware of their own.
Blackadder told Bath's official website: “Will is a player who I'm really looking forward to working with. He has that winning mentality having played a key role in Exeter's success over the last few years, and that's something which will only benefit the club moving forwards.
“He's a player with real quality and has shown what a valuable player he is during his six years down at Sandy Park. I have no doubt that he will become an instant hit with the supporters when he arrives in the summer for the new season.”
Bath will begin the new season with a battle to be fought out between the options at scrum-half, with Kahn Fotuali'i contracted until 2020, Chris Cook and Darren Allinson till 2019.
