International Sio signs for Nottingham

have announced the capture of Samoan international prop Aniseko Sio on a one-year deal.
The 24-year old loosehead had been on trial with the Green and Whites since the second week of pre-season and has impressed Ian Costello and his coaching team enough to earn a contract at The Bay.
The Samoan joined Tigers from his native island club Vaimoso, in the summer of 2014, shortly after making his Test debut in a 33-14 defeat to .
Unable to break into the Tigers first XV, Aniseko, or ‘Seko' as he is known to his teammates, then moved on to the Leicester , where he helped the National League 2 North outfit to a third-place finish last season.
Costello said: “It's great for the team to add someone of that calibre, who's played at that standard. He's very experienced and that experience will really stand to us in some of the areas we struggled last year.
“He's a very strong scrummager, he's a very dynamic ball-carrier – a powerful player. He's quick, he has good agility and what we've seen so far are glimpses of how destructive he can be defensively.
“We're very happy with what we have at the moment. I think that the perception out there is that we haven't recruited a huge amount of players, but what we've recruited is quality, and we've been very particular and targeted in who we've gone after, and the early signs are that they've added a huge amount to the group.”
