Bristol fly-half loaned to Jersey

Bristol fly-half Callum Sheedy has joined Championship side Jersey on a dual-registration agreement.

Sheedy has missed the majority of the 2016/17 campaign through injury and is available for Jersey with immediate effect.

The 21-year-old Welshman scored 22 points in a stunning display in the play-off final to help Bristol achieve promotion to the Premiership.

Bristol have the option to recall the former Millfield School captain at any time.

“We’re pleased that Callum has the opportunity for some game-time in a challenging competition like the Greene King IPA Championship,” Bristol Academy Manager Mike Hall said.

“After such an impressive end to the 2015/16 campaign, for Callum to suffer an injury during pre-season was frustrating, but it’s great to see how hard he has worked to return to fitness and now the key is to get him playing regularly to rediscover his form that lit up the play-offs in May.”
