Worcester bring in Canada fly-half

Worcester Warriors RFC

Worcester have signed Canadian fly-half Connor Braid until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old who can also play in the centre or the back-three will join up with the squad following Canada’s match with Samoa on Friday.
Braid played at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and has been capped 21 times by his country, his latest appearance came last weekend in Canada’s clash with Romania.
An able goal-kicker, Braid has also played for Canada on the World Sevens circuit and featured for Glasgow Warriors during the 2014/15 season.
The stand-off also spent time on loan at London Scottish and counts Doncaster Knights as a former club.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Worcester and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to show what I can do,” said Braid.
Head Coach Carl Hogg added: “With recent injuries to Ryan Lamb and Tom Heathcote, we’re delighted Connor is able to come in and bolster the side in the number ten position.
“He has plenty of experience in goal-kicking while his versatility across the backline will also be of great benefit.”
