Manu Tuilagi has withdrawn from the England squad to tour Australia through injury.
Following a scan yesterday and a review by the England medical team, it was advised that the Leicester Tigers centre would be unavailable for the three-Test tour in June.
He suffered the injury in the Premiership semi-final against Saracens last Saturday limping off the field only 20 minutes into the game.
“It’s bad luck for Manu so close to the tour but it provides a great opportunity for someone else,” said England head coach Eddie Jones. “We wish Manu all the best and a quick recovery.”
A replacement for Tuilagi will be announced following the game against Wales on Sunday.
