London Irish wing Andy Fenby retires

London Irish winger Andrew Fenby has retired from professional rugby.
A qualified chartered accountant, the 30-year-old has now set his sights on pursuing a career in the City following an illustrious career that has spanned 12 seasons.
Racking up 126 tries in 214 games during his career, Fenby joined the Exiles from Scarlets in 2013 having previously played for Blaydon, Newcastle.
In three seasons with Irish, he has crossed the whitewash 28 times in 61 appearances.
He said: “I have really enjoyed my time with and it is with a heavy heart that I have come to make this decision and pursue a new opportunity.
“London Irish have fantastic facilities and there is an infrastructure in place that should allow the Club to make an immediate return to the Aviva Premiership and realise its ambitions in years to come” added Fenby.
Head of Rugby Operations Glenn Delaney added: “Andrew has been a great professional throughout his time with the Club and we would like to send our best wishes to him and his family.
“He has a fantastic opportunity in the City and I’m sure he will have a successful career post rugby.”
