Bedford captain Fenton-Wells to join Bristol

Bedford have been dealt an early blow ahead of their Championship semi-final against Bristol with the news that captain Nick Fenton-Wells will join the West Country outfit next season.
As a consequence of his decision, the No.8 will not be available for selection during the play-offs.
In a statement, the Blues said it “feels that it is in the best interest of all parties that Nick does not play any part in the playoff games and he will therefore not be available for selection.
Bedford Blues Chairman Geoff Irvine said: “I appreciate that supporters will feel very disappointed but the club has been put in a compromising position due to Nick’s decision and, as such, we feel that this is the correct course of action to take given the circumstances.”
