Gouging ban rules Chris Ashton out of Six Nations

has been ruled out of the after receiving a 10-week ban for eye gouging 's Luke Marshall.
The incident happened during Saturday's clash between and the Irish province and, although Ashton pleaded not guilty to the offence, he was found guilty of making contact with the eye or eye area.
With the ban running until March 28, Ashton will be not be able to take part in 's Six Nations campaign despite working his way back into contention and being named in squad.
In a statement, Saracens confirmed they are currently considering their options on whether to take any further action in reaction to today's hearing.
