Wasps thump Castres in Adams Park farewell

Wasps said goodbye to Adams Park with a seven-try 44-17 victory over Castres in the Champions Cup yesterday.
The Coventry-bound club, who had lost their opening two games in the competiton, are now back on track to reach the quarter-finals.
They sit in third place of Pool 2 but trail Harlequins and Leinster, who they face in the last two rounds in January, by only one point.
Tom Varndell and Ben Jacobs both grabbed a brace in what was a fine afternoon for Dai Young’s side while Jake Cooper-Wooley, Nathan Hughes and Guy Thompson completed the rout with one each.
Clermont went top of Pool 1 following a 26-19 win over Munster in France.
Captain Damien Chouly crossed the line twice either side of one from wing Seru Nakaitaci for the French while only Duncan Casey could do so for the Irish.
But Ian Keatley slotted a last-minute penalty to rescue the losing bonus-point which could prove crucial in a few weeks.
Finally, Rhys Pristeland kicked 17 points to help the Scarlets beat Ulster 22-13.
