Toulon to take on Sharks in February

Reigning double European champions will take on the Durban-based franchise the next Ferbuary.

That sparked a reaction from Toulon's owner Mourad Boudjellal who said his side would take on the South Africans when and where they wanted.
The date for the friendly encounter has been set for Thursday, 5 February 2015 at the Stade Mayol in Toulon.
“We believe that in order to be the best you need to play the best,” Smit said.
“This match against the best European Rugby Club in recent history marks an ideal opportunity to fine tune our preparation for an important Super Rugby season ahead.
“I have huge respect for Toulon and their success in recent years is a clear indication of the brand of rugby they play as well as their work ethic and the pride and passion they have for their club and the game at large.
“It's always good to play against, learn and share ideas with the best teams around and we are delighted that Toulon has accepted the challenge.
“We look forward to an epic battle on the field of play and a long-term partnership off it.”
