Owen Williams making positive progress

Cardiff Blues centre Owen Williams is making positive progress following his spinal cord injury six weeks ago, a statement released by the Welsh region said.
Williams has been at the Welsh Spinal Injuries and Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff for the last three weeks and has improving function in both of his upper limbs.
The centre is still on enforced bed rest but he will be progressing to sitting up over the coming few weeks.
“Whilst it is still early days in his recovery, Owen remains positive and overwhelmed by the messages of support from around the world,” the statement continued.
“Owen and his family would like to thank the media for their support and the continued respect of his privacy.
“The region will continue to share updates when they are available. Thank you for your support and #StayStrongForOws.”
