Samson Lee has received a five-week ban for headbutting South African lock Flip van der Merwe last Saturday.
The Scarlets tighthead pleaded guilty to the offence which caused Van der Merwe a cut to the head.
He will miss the first three weeks of Scarlets’ Pro12 season as well as friendlies against Bath and Gloucester.
